Hiking Botanical Trail
From Vermes, there is a botanical trail with numerous information boards about the surrounding flora and fauna. The one-kilometre trail leads through the forest to the Plain-Fayen pasture, where you can rest at the forest hut or enjoy a picnic.

Horseriding
The nature around the Château with its unspoiled landscapes is a true paradise for riders and visitors who want to experience horse riding for the first time. Daniel Allimann offers horse baptisms, accompanied rides and horse-drawn carriage rides, topped off with a fondue or hot stone barbecue, in a green setting in the heart of the canton of Jura. The journey from the château to the stables takes about 35 minutes.

Sporty 10-kilometer hike
For a longer hike, follow the route from Château de Raymontpierre to the summit of Le Raimeux for a panoramic view of Jura and the Weissenstein chain. The route then descends to Rebeuvelier. Picnic areas Le Signal and Sur Les Barres are great for a snack. If you get hungry midway, visit "La Bergerie du Signal" inn above Grandval for country dishes and stunning views.

Swimming
About 35 minutes from the château, a peaceful and natural cooling off spot awaits you. Not far from the medieval town of St. Ursanne, the bathing beach offers you plenty of peace and bathing pleasure. The historic center of St. Ursanne is just a few minutes' walk away.

Forest hike with a barbecue
This hike starts in Vermes, where a sight of exceptional importance awaits you: The Romanesque church with its 15th century frescoes, listed by UNESCO. Immediately after the church, a botanical themed trail leads up to the Plain-Fayen meadows. There you will find a barbecue area surrounded by woods and meadows.

Porrentruy
Porrentruy is around 40 minutes by car from the Château. The town with its cobbled streets and remarkable baroque buildings is easy to explore on foot. Our tip for gourmets: be sure to book a table at the "Auberge du Mouton". It's well worth it!

St. Ursanne
The historic town is only a 37-minute drive from the Château and is well worth a visit. St. Ursanne, also known as the "Pearl of the Jura", has a remarkable heritage of historic buildings and is also popular with gourmets. In the medieval garden, you can visit beds of medicinal herbs and vegetables that were used in the past.

Maison de la Tête de Moine
"Tête de Moine" is probably one of the best-known flagships of the Swiss Jura. At the Maison de la Tête de Moine, the birthplace of the cheese specialty, you can experience a craft that is over 800 years old. The museum is also a cheese dairy, a café and a store specializing in the products of the region. How to get there: Approx. 40 minutes by car.

Cycle tour
There are numerous cycle tours around the Château de Raymontpierre that take you to different places. Whether up to Mont Raimeux or down to Vermes towards the gorges of Envelier, where the old mill still stands by the wayside. We will be happy to give you tips for your excursion.

Distillerie de Porrentruy
Hervé Blanchard has been running the family business "Distillerie de Porrentruy" since 2018. The young Jura distiller tests every single fruit for his fine spirits, whether Mirabelle plum or the Damassine plum typical of the Ajoie region. We would be happy to organize a guided tour of the distillery followed by a tasting.

Museum of Watch Cases
Housed in a renovated historic watchmaking workshop, the Musée de la Boîte de Montre features two regional workshops: a turning workshop from 1850 and one with 1920s machines. Using hundreds of objects and documents, the museum illustrates the development of watch case manufacturing techniques—a first in watchmaking history!

The Espace Paysan Horloger comprises a restaurant, a hotel and a museum. Here, you can experience the life of a watchmaker-farmer from the beginning of the last century. In addition to a museum visit, we recommend an organized tour of the surrounding area to see the houses of the former watchmaker-farmers. On the circular route (on foot or by bike) from Le Boéchet, you can visit various places that bear witness to the development of the watchmaking industry in the Jura.

A visit to Victorinox
In Delémont, Victorinox offers a comprehensive tour of the production stages of the iconic Swiss knife. The visit begins with an introduction to Victorinox's history and Wenger's legacy. Visitors are then guided through workshops from raw materials to packaging, highlighting the production of various knives. The factory store provides a range of Victorinox and Wenger products for souvenir hunters.

Wine hike Vermes
In 2012, Thomas Dennert planted six grape varieties that are resistant to fungal diseases on an area of 1.5 hectares in the town of Vermes: Solaris, Johanniter, Cantor, Monarch, Cortis and Cabernet Noir. The red wines "La Joie des Breûles- tchïns" and "Le Lézard fringant" are aged for 10 months in oak barrels. All wines are from controlled organic cultivation. We are happy to organize a tour of the vineyards followed by a wine tasting.
